2025 Skoda Octavia RS track review : Today, we’re going to talk about a car that’s going to be quite popular. Skoda has always had a sporty RS version at the top of its Octavia range for four generations. Sadly, the fourth-generation Skoda Octavia, which was launched in India in 2021 and discontinued in 2023 for some reason, didn’t get an RS version. But now things are changing with this car. There’s also some disappointing news for you, which I’ll tell you about at the end.
Also, the RS Octavia name is making a comeback in India, but there won’t be any other versions of this sedan. The executive sedan segment has very little market demand, which means the business case for local assembly is weak, and importing in low volumes would make the price prohibitively high.
Exterior design and engineering
In terms of exterior design, the Skoda RS 2024 is based on the facelifted Octavia, which is easily recognizable by its new headlights and DRL (Daytime Running Lamp) signature integrated into the bumper. RS-specific details such as the blacked-out grille, which also features the RS badge, and the more aggressive front bumper add a sporty touch to the crisp styling.
2025 Skoda Octavia RS interior Design
Speaking of the Skoda’s interior, the 2025 Skoda Octavia RS has a very premium interior. The interior of this Octavia RS immediately conveys that it’s a sporty car, and much of that has to do with the colors and textures used inside. There’s a suede finish on the dash top with contrasting stitching and a carbon fiber-like look on the dash wings, which all comes together very nicely.
Skoda Octavia RS features and safety
In terms of safety features, the Skoda Octavia RS is available in India in a single, fully loaded version and comes with a host of features. The fantastic sports seats are fully powered and offer memory, massage, and heating functions, but this car lacks seat ventilation. Drivers can customize the digital dials and choose from different themes, and it also features a head-up display, although we didn’t get a chance to try it.
A major change in this Skoda is the large touchscreen. The new 13-inch unit is sleek and responsive, and the car features wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as USB phone charging. The climate control settings are hidden within the screen, which isn’t ideal, and there’s no traditional knob for volume control. A slider below the screen handles this function.
Additionally, this Skoda RS also comes with matrix LED headlights, configurable ambient lighting, a 360-degree camera, and an 11-speaker, 675W Canton sound system.
