For electric car enthusiasts, the next decade is set to be exhilarating with Hyundai’s big move. At its first-ever Investor Day, Hyundai announced plans to launch five electric cars in India by 2030. Currently, Hyundai has just two EVs—the IONIQ 5 and CRETA Electric. The CRETA Electric is here to stay all decade long, but the future of the IONIQ 5 is still uncertain. This means Hyundai will launch 3–4 brand new electric cars over the next five years, taking the EV game in India to the next level.

Hyundai has officially confirmed its next EV will be a budget SUV, codenamed ‘HE1i’, ready to take on the Tata Punch.ev head-to-head. The next-gen Venue (codename QU2i) is launching in November 2025, the next-gen i10 (codename Ai4) will arrive in 2027, and the Bayon (codename BC4i) is set for a 2026 launch.
